What do we do?
As an LGBTQIA+ student association we strive to create a safe space for our members where everyone feels free to be themselves 100% of the time. We try to achieve this safe space in several ways. First, we encourage our culture to be a safe space by having a no-tolerance policy surrounding undesirable behavior which makes members feel unsafe. Second, we encourage members to have open conversations about difficult topics by organizing educational events on topics such as gender (identity), sexuality, safe sex, and more. Third, we encourage any member who feels unsafe, uncomfortable, or simply wants to talk, to contact any of our board members. They will help you in any way they can, either by helping you directly or by redirecting you to another party who can help you.
Our Activities Committee organizes a lot of activities for our members. There is an EP activity almost every week! One of our regular activities is our bi-weekly social drinks. At these drinks, we get together to chill and chit-chat, and we quite often end up dancing until the bar closes. Next to our social drinks we host a lot of other events such as book clubs, game nights, and lectures. Next to these events, we work together with companies to provide you with career related events such as in-house days or company meetings.
