Gender Education

Finding what gender (expression) fits you can be a challenging journey. At Erasmus Pride, we support any gender association and try our best to give our members and the community a safe space.. Furthermore, we try to provide the necessary resources to discover your identity and to educate others so they can support people around them.

Many of our members are in different phases of their self identification or transitioning processes, and we want to help those members however we can. If you are a member of Erasmus Pride and you are struggling with anything we could potentially help you with, please don't hesitate to reach out to one of the current board members, and we will help you to the best of our ability.

As an association, we encounter different challenges LGBTQIA+ people have to deal with and try our best to solve these, or at least provide people with the resources or connections to make dealing with those challenges easier. One of the issues LGBTQIA+ people quite often struggle with is the changing of their name. Changing your name legally in the Netherlands can be a complicated process. Sex Education

Next to gender education, sex education is also something we deem to be very important. We believe sex should always be safe, consensual, and fun! To ensure our members can have positive sexual experiences, we try to discuss difficult topics and create an open environment. We want people to be able to talk  about the difficulties they encounter, the desires (or lack of desire) they have, and the ways in which sex can be fun.

Unfortunately, the wider world can be a hostile environment for members of the community to have safe sexual experiences. That can make an already sensitive part of life more difficult. Providing a safe community gives people the opportunity to find their own boundaries and preferences.
